Human Resources Assistant (Part-Time 24 hours per week) WQED seeks a creative, energetic, and strategic individual to join our team as a Human Resources Assistant.
The Human Resources Assistant will be responsible for the administrative support of day- to-day human resource operations.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Maintain organized, up-to-date and confidential personnel files.
Assist with payroll processes.
Perform HRIS data entry - address changes, benefits, etc.
Conduct new hire orientations for new employees and interns to the organization.
Create onboarding packets.
Assist with the recruiting process - post job postings, source candidates, coordinate communication with candidates and schedules interviews.
Assist with hiring events (virtual, on and off-site).
Serve as an information source for employee questions related to hiring, benefits and other general company information.
Assist with the benefits/open enrollment process.
Assist the HR Director with various projects/reports.
Other duties as assigned.
Required education and skills:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field preferred, but not required.
At least one year of HR experience preferred.
Administrative/clerical experience a plus.
High ethical standards and ability to exhibit a high level of confidentiality.
Experience in MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) Experience with an HRIS system.
Ability to work with individuals at all levels within the organization.
Superior organizational, interpersonal, and oral/written communication skills.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
